On May 28, Professor Minyi Huang of Carleton University in Canada delivered a lecture at Zhongyuan University of Technology as part of the University's Hongde Lecture Series. The lecture was titled "Mean Field Games within Dense and Sparse Network Limits." Zhang Jifeng, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the School of Automation and Electrical Engineering, presented Huang with a certificate. Yan Li, Vice Dean of the School, chaired the session.

Professor Huang introduced mean-field game theory in dense graphs and sparse networks. He explained how this framework can be used to analyze large-scale systems in applications such as retail markets and natural-resource management. The lecture addressed scaling limits and the interactions among neighboring subpopulations in networked systems.

The presentation provided participants with an introduction to current research on mean-field games, complex networks, and large-scale multi-agent decision-making. Through examples and theoretical analysis, Professor Huang illustrated the significance of these methods for understanding collective behavior in interconnected systems.

During the discussion session, faculty members and students raised questions and exchanged ideas with Professor Huang. The event broadened participants' academic perspectives and strengthened the School's academic links with overseas scholars and institutions.
