On March 31, Zhang Jifeng, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Zhongyuan University of Technology and Dean of the School of Automation and Electrical Engineering, delivered an academic lecture entitled "Analysis and Control of Uncertain Systems" on the Longhu Campus. More than one hundred faculty members and students from the School of Automation and Electrical Engineering, the School of Mathematics and Information Science, and the School of Information and Communication Engineering attended. The lecture was chaired by Zhu Yongsheng, Executive Dean of the School.

Professor Zhang used major scientific and engineering applications, including the Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Radio Telescope, near-space vehicles, laser fusion, metallurgy, and finance, to explain the importance of uncertainty analysis and control. He introduced research topics such as stochastic systems, robust control, adaptive control, data-driven control, limits of feedback capability, active disturbance rejection control, finite-information systems, micro-regulation, and the control of big-data and complex-network systems.

He emphasized that the development of uncertain-system theory requires both solid quantitative analysis and original methodological innovation. Faculty members and students were encouraged to integrate theoretical research with major national projects and industrial transformation, and to explore high-level scientific problems through interdisciplinary cooperation.

The lecture provided a face-to-face academic exchange platform for participating teachers and students. It expanded their academic horizons, strengthened their understanding of cutting-edge control theory, and contributed to the School's efforts to foster innovation and high-quality talent.
